Om meteen een hardnekkig vooroordeel over klassieke Alfa’s met een automatische versnellingsbak te weerleggen: wie eenmaal met deze Berlina heeft gereden, zal beamen dat het een plezierige en bijzondere aanvulling is op een klassieke Alfa-collectie. Zelf hebben we al veel Alfa’s met handgeschakelde versnellingsbak gereden, maar deze versie met automaat verraste ons in positieve zin. De rijervaring is relaxed en soepel, maar biedt tegelijk een verrassend sportieve beleving.
Deze Berlina is gebouwd in 1975, volgens gegevens van “Automobilismo Storico Alfa Romeo”. Het betreft een type 2000 Berlina A (105.54), origineel geleverd in de kleur “Verde Pino” met een bruin skai interieur.
In het verleden is de auto gedeeltelijk gerestaureerd en nog altijd in een nette en verzorgde staat. De huidige eigenaar heeft de auto geïmporteerd en in 2012 voorzien van een Nederlands kenteken. Om niets aan het toeval over te laten, is er sindsdien veel werk verricht aan de techniek. Zo is de motor volledig nagelopen, cilinderkop en automatische versnellingsbak volledig gereviseerd, evenals het differentieel en onderstel. Onderstel ook voorzien van een dikkere stabilisatorstang. Verder zijn de remmen gereviseerd/vernieuwd, elektronische ontsteking gemonteerd, enzovoort.
Een uitgebreide map met facturen van deze werkzaamheden is keurig aanwezig, evenals foto’s van onder andere de revisie van het onderstel en het monteren van de gereviseerde achteras met sperdifferentieel. Ook is een set originele Momo Vega-velgen professioneel gereconditioneerd. Al met al rijdt deze Berlina uitstekend en biedt hij precies wat je ervan mag verwachten – met dank aan de automatische versnellingsbak nét even anders dan de meer gebruikelijke versies. Ideaal in de file of voor ontspannen ritjes door het dorp, maar dankzij een tikje terug naar z’n ‘2’ ook verrassend snel en sportief te rijden.
Natuurlijk zijn er ook een paar aandachtspunten – we zijn daar graag transparant over. De carrosserie is over het algemeen heel erg netjes, maar bevat enkele plekjes die een perfectionist zou willen aanpakken. Denk aan een paar plekjes op het voorscherm, een deur, dorpelhoekjes en een plekje op een bodemdeel. Deze zijn echter sinds de import in 2012 nauwelijks verergerd. De lak vertoont wat gebruikssporen en ook het interieur heeft een paar aandachtspunten, zoals wat losgelaten stiksels op de bestuurdersstoel. Tijdens een recente rit is bovendien een koplampring verloren gegaan; hier wordt nog naar gezocht om de auto weer “optisch” compleet te maken.
Doordat slechts een zeer klein deel van de Berlina-productie met automatische versnellingsbak werd geleverd, is dit inmiddels een zeldzame variant – met name interessant voor de verzamelaar die een “Automatico” aan zijn collectie wil toevoegen.
In de afgelopen jaren is er veel tijd, geld en energie in deze auto gestoken, maar door veranderingen in plannen en wagenpark wordt er echter te weinig mee gereden. Alleen om die reden mag deze Berlina van eigenaar wisselen – hij staat niet in de weg.

Through a good and highly valued relationship, we are allowed to offer you a special and rare Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina. Originally delivered with an automatic gearbox – how unique is that?
To immediately refute a prejudice about classic Alfas with an automatic gearbox: anyone who has driven this Berlina will agree that it is a special and unique addition to a classic Alfa collection. We have driven many Alfas with a manual gearbox ourselves, but this version with automatic surprised us in a positive way. The driving experience is relaxed and smooth, but at the same time offers a surprisingly sporty experience.
This Berlina was built in 1975, according to data from “Automobilismo Storico Alfa Romeo”. It is a type 2000 Berlina A (105.54), originally delivered in the color “Verde Pino” with a brown leatherette interior.

In the past, the car has been partially restored and is still in a neat and well-maintained condition. The current owner imported the car and fitted it with a Dutch license plate in 2012. In order to leave nothing to chance, a lot of work has been done on the technology since then. For example, the engine has been completely checked, the cylinder head and automatic gearbox have been completely overhauled, as well as the differential and chassis. The chassis has also been fitted with a thicker stabilizer bar. Furthermore, the brakes have been overhauled/renewed, electronic ignition has been fitted, and so on. An extensive folder with invoices for this work is neatly present, as well as photos of, among other things, the overhaul of the chassis and the fitting of the overhauled rear axle with limited slip differential. A set of original Momo Vega rims has also been professionally reconditioned. All in all, this Berlina drives excellently and offers exactly what you can expect from it - thanks to the automatic gearbox, just that little bit different from the more common versions. Ideal in traffic jams or for relaxed rides through the village, but thanks to a touch back to '2' also surprisingly fast and sporty to drive.
Of course there are also a few points of attention - we like to be transparent about that. The bodywork is generally very neat, but has a few spots that a perfectionist would want to tackle. Think of a few spots on the front wing, a door, sill corners and a spot on a floor section. However, these have hardly worsened since the import in 2012 The paint shows some signs of wear and the interior also has a few points of attention, such as some loose stitching on the driver's seat. During a recent drive, a headlight ring was also lost; this is still being sought to make the car "visually" complete again.
Because only a very small part of the Berlina production was delivered with an automatic gearbox, this is now a rare variant - particularly interesting for the collector who wants to add an "Automatico" to his collection.
In recent years, a lot of time, money and energy has been invested in this car, but due to changes in plans and fleet, it is not driven enough. For that reason alone, this Berlina may change owners - it is not in the way.

Per confutare immediatamente un persistente pregiudizio sulle Alfa classiche con cambio automatico: chiunque abbia guidato questa Berlina concorderà che si tratta di un'aggiunta piacevole e speciale alla collezione Alfa classica. Abbiamo già guidato molte Alfa con cambio manuale, ma questa versione con cambio automatico ci ha sorpreso in positivo. Questa Berlina è stata costruita nel 1975, secondo i dati dell'"Automobilismo Storico Alfa Romeo". Si tratta di una Berlina A del tipo 2000 (105.54), consegnata originariamente nel colore “Verde Pino” con interni in similpelle marrone.

L’auto è stata parzialmente restaurata in passato ed è ancora in ordine e ben mantenuta. L'attuale proprietario ha importato l'auto e le ha fornito una targa olandese nel 2012. Per non lasciare nulla al caso, da allora è stato fatto molto lavoro sulla tecnologia. Il motore è stato completamente controllato, la testata e il cambio automatico sono stati completamente revisionati, così come il differenziale e il telaio. Telaio dotato anche di una barra stabilizzatrice più spessa. Inoltre, i freni sono stati revisionati/rinnovati, è stata installata l'accensione elettronica, ecc.
Naturalmente ci sono anche alcuni punti di interesse: ci piace essere trasparenti al riguardo.
